Bloomingdale's Palo Alto

This new Bloomingdale's retail store, located within the Stanford Shopping Center, replaces the original Bloomingdale's store that opened in 1996. The three-story, 120,000 SF building features an architecturally elegant and inviting presence with a steel structure and modern sleek exterior fašade.

Stanford Central Energy Facility

Olson Steel at the request of Stanford University partnered with Whiting -Turner to take on all responsibilities of handling fabrication and erection of the complex structural steel beams, columns and deck support of Stanford's new Replacement Central Energy Facility (RCEF).

Pier 27 New Cruise Terminal

The Pier 27 Cruise Terminal project was completed in two phases. Phase one includes enhanced building core and shell and limited site improvements for a temporary certificate of occupancy. The America's Cup Event Authority then completed their tenant improvements needed for the America's Cup Race Events.

Oakland Airport BART Connector

The Oakland Airport Connector project is a 3.2-mile automated people mover rail system that connects the Coliseum Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Station and the Oakland Airport. It is estimated to serve eight million passengers annually. Turner is building the three vertical elements/stations of the project.

USC Cinematic School

The USC School of Cinematic Arts, Phase 3 project expands the campus' School of Cinematic Arts classroom and work space by 62,500 sq. ft. The building includes screening rooms, audio sensitive rooms, grant research labs, faculty offices, and support spaces.

Oakland Unified School District Downtown Educational Complex

The 123,000 square foot Downtown Educational Complex houses three separate schools on one campus, including a Elementary K-5 school, MetWest High School and a child development center.

Kaiser Cup San Leandro

Rudolph and Sletten constructed the new, 264-bed, 434,000-square-foot hospital for Kaiser Permanente in San Leandro, California.

Stanford University Bing Concert Hall

The Bing Concert Hall is an 844 seat concert hall on the Stanford University Campus in Stanford California. The 56' 11" tall building has a unique elliptical shaped concert hall core made from structural steel columns and high roof supporting a concrete cast in place shell, all tilted inboard at a uniform 10 degree angle.

West Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station

This new Bay Area Rapid Transit station includes 1200 parking spaces, 210 housing units, office space, and a hotel. The station is located in the median of Interstate 580, between the Castro Valley and Dublin/Pleasanton stations.

710 Market Street

Olson's scope of work on this project included erecting the structural steel for a new stand alone and retrofitted structure that was located between two existing buildings. The structure is 12 stories high, with a footprint of 120 feet by 50 feet.
