Pier 27 Phase II Fence

After completing Phase I of Pier 27 for America's Cup, Olson Steel was brought back to complete the build out of the miscellaneous metals, which included steel fenders, sign supports, interior and exterior stainless steel handrails, wall panels, grating and security metal fencing.

Success Factors Stairs & Glass Railing

The relocation of Success Factors's headquarters included build out of an 87,000 square foot raw space to include open workstation areas, a demonstration center, an executive/customer briefing center, an internal connecting staircase, conference rooms, a café/break area, and copy rooms.

Palo Alto Medical Foundation - San Carlos

Olson Steel was brought in to assist in completing the miscellaneous steel package and played a critical role in supplementing numerous requests on the project site with the installation of steel stairs, parking canopies, roof rails, interior bracing and exterior green wall covering the parking facility.

San Mateo Performing Arts

Renovation of an existing Performing Arts Center on the San Mateo High School campus. Work included structural improvements, an added basement level, a completely new interior theater as well as mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire sprinkler upgrades.

USF John Lo Schiavo Center

Construction of a new state-of-the-art science building (laboratories and classrooms) located in the center of the USF main campus, immediately adjacent to two existing buildings. Scope included the excavation of two basement levels in serpentine rock, installation of a landscaped plaza roof, and an above-grade 3 story wing.

Citris U.C. Berkeley

This new, 7-story facility housing CITRIS, or the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society, features Class 100 and Class 1,000 cleanrooms, a Distance Learning Facility, laboratories, a 149-seat auditorium, conference rooms, and a student activity lounge and cybercafé.

Fox Theatre

Olson Steel is proud to be part of the team on the effort to restore and renovate the Fox Oakland Theater, a National Historic Landmark movie palace in downtown Oakland. This project involves interior renovation and seismic upgrade of the existing building that was built in the 1920's.

Foundry Square

The corporate home of Barclay's Global Investment Group, Foundry Square is the third of four buildings of its design type. The structure is designed by Studio Architecture and features post-tensioned concrete construction with a multi-tiered and differing pitch structural steel roof fabricated and installed by Olson Steel.

Benecia Ironworkers Training Facility

In addition to some standard miscellaneous metals products like railings, ladders, open web joists and roll-up door frames; Olson Steel was able to provide some custom items for this project. Olson fabricated and installed thirty welding booths complete with welding poles, adjustable welding arms and tables that are used for training apprentice field ironworkers.

690 Market Structural

San Francisco's historic Chronicle Building, dating from 1889, was converted into new condominium and time-share units for the Ritz-Carlton Club & Residences. Work included removal of 1960's-era steel cladding, restoration of the original brick exterior and demolition of portions of the existing building, plus construction of 8 additional above-grade floors.
