Stanford HRC Misc Steel & Stairs

Stanford's Replacement Central Energy Facility (RCEF) will substantially reduce Stanford's energy usage for heating and cooling, resulting in lower criteria air pollutant and greenhouse gas emissions than the existing Central Energy Facility, as well as a substantial reduction in the University's potable water use.

Stanford University BioE + Chemistry

With more than 208,000 square feet of space, the Shriram Center is the largest of the four structures in the Science and Engineering Quad. USF- John Lo Schiavo Center

Adjacent to the construction of the new state-of-the-art USF science building located in the center of the USF main campus, is the student promenade that consists of an open space featuring high-end glass rails, steel stairs and steel rails that provide the students with a contemporary gathering space in the middle of the campus.

San Francisco International Airport Terminal 2

This project was an extensive renovation project to convert Terminal 2 into a state-of-the-art domestic terminal. The terminal, which formerly housed international flights, had been closed since 2000 when SFO opened the current International Terminal.

Mills Peninsula Hospital

The new Mills Peninsula Hospital is a six-story, approximately 450,000-square foot general acute care hospital connected with an approximately 145,000-square foot office building. Olson had multiple roles on this project, and one of them is the Architectural Exposed Structural Steel used to support the large canopies over the stairways - the finished length is 120 feet.

201 Mission Street Lobby

The two-story phase lobby renovation involved removing the unused stairs and interiors atrium, relocating the guard/reception desk to the lower level, elevator cabs, new water feature, exterior landscape improvements and a dramatic lighted ceiling treatment.

Los Gatos Gateway (Netflix)

Olson provided an AESS design/build stair going up three floors as well as two sets of egress stairs with three lower levels and three upper levels.

Oakland Airport Canopies

Oakland International Airport supports one million passengers a month. Olson Steel was able to work around this even during the busy travel months of November & December installing over 150 canopies.

VTA Canopies

Olson Steel built canopies for fourteen train platforms in downtown San Jose train platforms. These canopies serve as shelter for commuters waiting for Valley Transit Authority trains, and also enhance the look of the downtown area.

SF Giants Stadium - Coke Bottle

The construction of new San Francisco Stadium included the construction of various unique independent projects throughout the stadium, one of those projects was the famous Coke Bottle behind the left field bleachers.
