Samuel Merritt University (SMU)
Olson Steel was contracted to fabricate and erect the metal stairs for the new prominent Samuel Merritt University (SMU) campus within Oakland City Center. The upcoming SMU facility is set to become the new headquarters of the campus. The 225,000-square-foot, high-rise building will break ground in mid-2023 and is slated to open to students and the community in January 2026.
