21st Amendment Brewery
Referring to the U.S. Constitution’s 21st Amendment which repealed prohibition, the 21st Amendment Brewery is located in San Leandro. It features both a brewery and tasting room. Olson Steel provided the structural and miscellaneous steel for the brewery including the Brew house Mezzanine structures, mechanical roof openings, stairs, gratings and columns. The popular brewery 21st Amendment selected Olson Steel to assist in the renovation of the old Kellogg’s plant in San Leandro. The project converted the plant into a new 95,000-square-foot brewery which now has a brewing capacity of 100,000 barrels a year, with the ability to expand to more than 250,000 barrels. 21st Amendment installed a 100-barrel brew house, with a production line that can fill 500 cans a minute. The facility is directly behind the Olson Steel San Leandro main headquarters and fabrication facility, Olson Steel was responsible for all structural steel renovations, fabrication and erection of new structural steel and miscellaneous metals (Stairs, railings).
