Chabot Library & Learning Connection Building
Olson Steel has been awarded the Chabot Library and Learning Connection Building contract by General Contractor Rudolph & Sletten. Olson Steel is responsible for the structural steel, miscellaneous metals, stairs and rails for the new building which will be located in the Grand Court at the Chabot campus. The new structure will be approximately 70,000sf and feature open floor plans, an amphitheater and an atrium. Olson Steel will fabricate and install the central and social stair; a large area that is a stairway and seating area where students can go to socialize, study, or relax. Olson Steel is responsible for fabricating and installing the egress stairs for access into the building, as well as the elevator seal, framing and support for the elevator cabs, divider screens, scrim frames and perforated metals in which lights will shine through.
